Sun 27th, March We're drawing near the end…
We're drawing near the end of our stay here in Idaho. It's been fun, despite it being the worst winter for about 30 years (lack of snow wise).

We've seen some cool stuff while we've been here. A couple of weeks ago we were driving to Mandi's Dad's and a bald eagle swooped down out of a tree and flew along right ahead of us for about 30 meters, before going back up into another tree. It was incredible, it was huge. We didn't have to time to get a photo of it though.

The redneck car was pretty funny as well, a wooden box replacing the smashed boot of the car. That's what you get when you don't have any roadworthyness tests for vehicles. =)

We had a load of Connies side of the family over a couple of weeks ago, that was fun. Unfortunately Shawn and Katie couldn't make it as Shawn was feeling up to it, but we went to visit them later.

Rod's sons, and one of thems girlfriend, have been here the last few days, and his daughter and her family got here last night. The house is pretty full, but the boys are leaving this morning. Mandi and Connie went to Oregon on Friday to go for a scenic train ride with Rod's mum, who has been given a few months to live, and some of her other relatives. We roasted hotdogs and stayed up late drinking and playing cards. =)

A BIG ham is being cooked right now for easter dinner. There are coloured boiled eggs and stuff as well.

On the subject of holiday celebrations, we went out in Sandpoint with Doug and Sherry for St Patricks day. It would seem that it's quite a big thing here. You are suppossed to wear something green or you get pinched, and they put green food colouring in beer to make 'Green Beers', thankfully we went to places that didn't do that. =P
We did see an Irish Keltic marching band. They were going round the bars playing and collecting money. They were pretty good.
We stayed in Minibago in Sandpoint, it was quite cold out, but we had plenty of sleeping bags and duvets. When we woke up in the morning there was a layer of snow everywhere, it was really cool. It only lasted a couple of days though.

We're going to Seattle on the 1st or 2nd, then flying out on the 5th. So we'll see you all pretty soon.
